We are pleased to foster pets up for adoption through Greater Victoria Animal Crusaders www.animalcrusaders.ca
Dogs for adoption:
Muffy:
We are currently fostering this beautiful girl. Muffy is a 10 year old Border Collie X. She is a sweet gal who loves her people's attention and the company of other dogs. As a mature girl she has good energy for walks in the park, but is calm enough to enjoy rests in a comfy spot where she can see the action. She hasn't bothered with the resident birds, though if off leash she has a glint in her eye to go chase the ducks. She hasn't been exposed to cats, so would need to have a cat -free house or atleast careful supervision. She is very smart at learning the rules of the house and has proven to be very adaptable. She likes car rides but hates thunder, though she doesn't respond to any other loud noises. Muffy does like to bark at people at the door, and voices her displeasure when being left alone at an unexpected time. So living in a condo won't be the best option for this singer! When she learns the routine of her people she does settle into being left alone during expected times of the day, such as grocery shopping time. For further information on Muffy or to fill out an application, please contact Greater Victoria Animal Crusaders at www.animalcrusaders.ca
ADOPTED!!!!
Currently we are fostering Caesar, a big beauty of probably Bull Mastif/Boxer lineage. He is approximately 15 months old, neutered, and is a really sweet cuddle-bug! He loves his people, and gets along with most dogs of all sizes. Though he does sometimes take offense to other large male dogs. He loves to play ball, tugg 'n chase, and walk in the park. We think he will be an excellent swimmer since he likes the bath tub. He is in excellent health and is responding well to his weight-gain diet. Caesar thinks his ideal home will be with someone who will exercise and train him daily - he likes to keep his mind and body busy. His new home should not have any cats, since he likes to chase them endlessly, and any children should be older than 7 so they aren't overwhelmed by his enthusiasm. He likes to sleep in his large crate, both at night and for short naps in the day. He has learned many of his manners and is a good student, with someone who can be consistant. Everyone who meets Caesar comments on how beautiful and sweet he is. If you think you could provide the right home for him fill out the adoption form on www.animalcruasaders.ca, or call them for more details 250-474-5581.
Caesar lets the puppies jump on him and bite his cheeks!
Caesar shares his bed with a friend.
Caesar loves to play ball.
Cats for adoption: Currently we are fostering three cats. Gordo is a sweet loving boy approximately 5 yrs old. This velvety gray boy does have Diabetes, though it is very manageable with twice daily insulin shots, and a proper diet. He is used to being around the dogs, but prefers them to not get too close so a home with a well-behaved dog or better yet, no dog, would be his preference. Cujo and Bentley would like to find a forever-home together. They are both very sweet and affectionate 5 yr old neutered males, who have grown up with a dog. They aren't bothered by the dogs, and will just move to another sitting spot if crowded. They would prefer to not be around very young children who will pull their tails. Photos for all cats will be uploaded soon. Check out www.gvac.ca for more loveable pets.
